Personal Description:
Having trained at a variety of institutions I feel well placed to pass the experiences and skills I have gained onto the younger generation.
As with any project I bring enthusiasm, positive energy and create a safe environment for the the pupil to develop within.
A good sense of humour is key to any learning process and as an individual I feel well placed to bring this to the working environment.
Teaching Experience:
Throughout my studies at secondary school I was assistant teacher to lower school drama and during my studies at University I undertook private classes ranging from text work, monologue studies, voice and speech therapy and more recently posture and physical movement.
Currently I work as an actor, director, and private tutor.
As a Voice and Speech coach I have worked with clients from Monarch Airways, The University of Hertfordshire as well as other professionals who require help with public speaking or personal development.
My teaching abilities cover a ranger of disciplines from LAMDA exams, drama school audition technique, Shakespeare, as well as voice and text work.
Teaching Approach:
Whenever possible I aim to apply a practical approach to the work, bringing out the best in the individual through self realisation and a better understanding of the discipline.
An honest and constructive ethic is required from both the pupil and myself.
By challenging the potential of the student they may begin to see the skills that they have, and develop a sense of personal ambition and drive to achieve levels they previously felt would be unattainable.
I look forward to working with a range of pupils and always aim to bring success and moreover a sense of fulfilment and enjoyment to the process without undervaluing the importance of the final result.
