Information About Rachel - Chesham teacher

Personal Description:

I am a professionally trained actress, having recently graduated from the BA Acting course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). I am also a member of the National Youth Theatre.

I have ushered at RADA's final round auditions for 2 years. I also have knowledge and experience of the audition process at the following Drama schools: LAMDA, Guildhall, Drama Centre, Bristol Old Vic, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Central, and Manchester school of Theatre.

Teaching Experience:

I have run virtual workshops over zoom with the RADA Youth Company.

I have assisted with several workshops for Ashley Green Youth Theatre- teaching in several schools around Buckinghamshire/Hertfordshire

I have taught one-to-one sessions with students and young actors applying for Drama schools

I am also a part time nanny, so have experience with younger children

I am fully DBS checked and can provide references if required.

Teaching Approach:

Audition preparation for Drama schools, BA Acting courses LAMDA/RADA medals and Drama examinations. My sessions will be completely tailored to the individual and will be all about building confidence so that you can feel relaxed in any audition/exam environment.

Sessions will cover the following:

-Finding the perfect monologues that suit you - contemporary/classical

-Redirecting monologues, adding detail, making them your own (using exercises part of drama school training)

-Acting techniques drawn from: Stanford Meisner, Stanislasvki, and Uta Hagen

-What to expect in an audition- interview prep
