Personal Description:

Currently rated 2052 ECF standard and 1949 FIDE standard, I am an active player that has been playing chess competitively since the age of 9 and took part in many tournaments throughout the world, including the European Rapid and Blitz Championships in 2017 in Poland and the World Junior Championship in 2016 (under 20 years old) in India. I have finished first 29 times, second 13 times, and third 10 times, both individually and in team events where I represented various chess clubs in Scotland, England and Cyprus. For my achievements at the FIDE Online Arena, I have received the titles of Arena International Master in 2015 and Arena Grand Master in 2016. Other than being a chess player, a coach, a content creator (I have a **Contact Detail Removed** Channel with my full name), I am also an experienced arbiter. I have been a National Arbiter since 2015 and a FIDE Arbiter since 2019.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching chess to people of all ages and nationalities, since 2015, both online and offline. I have taught both at my home, the student's home and online. With my knowledge and experience, I will help you improve your game or learn how to play chess if this is your first time.

Teaching Approach:

My teaching methodology is based on analysing the student's games to identify their weaknesses and help them learn from their mistakes. Also, playing training games against my students, and analysing them too. After the first lesson, in collaboration with the student, I create a plan for moving forward. I believe all parts of the game are important: having a healthy opening repertoire, the middlegame and the endgame. Depending on the student's level and any special requests, I will tailor the lesson accordingly. I will also give homework to the student and share resources such as my own analysis of certain openings and/or tactical puzzles for the student to solve at home. I am more than happy to record lessons held online as an mp4 and share them via email, so the student can watch them again whenever they wish. I am famous for my broad and in-depth opening knowledge (even of openings I do not play myself) and my biggest achievement as a second was help a personal friend make an IM norm.
