Personal Description:

I have an honours degree in Fine Art Sculpture, studying at Pittville School of Art 1990-1993.
Constructing and creating tangible objects has always given me pleasure, yet the framework of objects captured in determined, controlled strokes in different mediums gives great satisfaction.
I live in Warwick, Warwickshire with my two children who are 15 and 17 respectively.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching privately from home for nearly 3 years. My students range from 12 years to 70+.
Ive previously worked one to one with an SEN child and those with learning difficulties. Drawing played a significant role with these children especially those with autism.

Teaching Approach:

My emphasis is upon sculptural drawing to work through the processes of mark making to create competence in observation, (which is vital) and the skill to translate what we see and feel on to paper. This will in turn firmly ground the student giving the confidence to introduce colour as and when they feel ready.
I work around what my students really desire to draw, yielding and teaching tailored to each.
