Personal Description:
Hi! I'm Meaghan, I'm 17, and I'm from the United States. I'm currently in my first year of reading for my MA (Honors) in Economics and International Relations. I absolutely love teaching, and hope that I can help you in any way possible!
Teaching Experience:
Last year, I was an Assistant Teacher in a remedial English course for 15/16 yr olds, which involved leading class discussions, teaching the reading material (with an emphasis on Shakespeare), creating/grading weekly quizzes, and grading essays and exams. I was also a Teaching Assistant in a French-Language Immersion course (also for 15/16 yr olds), which involved grading quizzes and exams, and creating assignments.
Teaching Approach:
I think the best way to learn is from the bottom up- learn the very basics and work your way up. The most important part of learning, though, is being able to work hands-on with the material-- something I work very hard to incorporate into my teaching style.
