Information About Matt - Milton Keynes teacher

Personal Description:

I am an author, who has published three novels and have two more in the pipeline. My preferred genres are fantasy, science fiction and horror, but I enjoy stories in all their forms. I have a lot of experience with different cultures and ideas from years of living in a number of different countries. I have a BA in Creative Writing and an MA in **Contact Detail Removed**vision Scriptwriting.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a teacher for over six years, with students from all walks of life and all ages. I have taught English Language in China, Japan, Hungary and Italy, and in the UK at Oxford University.

Teaching Approach:

My approach to teaching, especially one to one, is very much student - led. I advise and provide frameworks, allowing as much room as possible for a student's creativity. This is a creative and often personal medium, so I focus on writing structure and consistency as well as the generation of ideas that could make for a great story.

For beginners and intermediate students, we would go over the creation of compelling characters and interesting worlds, and writing an engaging story for them in story point and structure. For more advanced students, I would act more as a consultant and a beta reader, discussing and analyzing the work that the students have already done, providing alternatives or helping to iron out any difficulties they may be having.
