Information About Mark - Stowmarket teacher

Personal Description:

I am a professional actor/director in the theatre industry. I graduated from the 3 year acting course at LAMDA in 2009 and have since been working in the industry. I own many skills and techniques that can help you improve as an actor.

Teaching Experience:

I have run devising workshops for primary school students and workshops for amateur actors of all ages, including Shakespeare, devising and theatre games.
I have also directed amateur companies in full length productions which has enabled me to teach voice work, breathing, and verse speaking.

Teaching Approach:

There are so many tools that can be utilised to find a character or to understand Shakespeare. My teaching relies heavily on 'the word'. I believe an actor should totally understand every single word they are speaking and the impact each individual word has. I believe in moving at a pace that is desirable to the student. It is pointless rushing through techniques and leaving the actor pondering as to… huh?
