Personal Description:

I am not sure which came first, the camera or an interest in shapes and forms. From the age of about 10 I received my first Polaroid camera as a gift from my uncle. This gave me the power to express myself visually, from here I would take photos of everything and anything that caught my eye. This was then enhanced with age when I started to look at the way objects would catch and reflect light. It really fascinated me then and still does now, how a simple click of a camera can capture a moment that remains in your memory forever. I have always believed that photography is not just about the final photo but it is also tell you a little about the photographers eye. My passion for this subject area started from the day I started till now has continued to grow.

I have worked as a Tutor, Wedding Photographer and Journalist for many years. Photography is a hugely important part of my life and (my camera) my passion is with me everywhere I go. this intensity toward taking pictures improve and develop my creative touch. My work has been published locally, nationally and and on-line.

I am currently teaching Photography, Writing, Painting an Drawing and technical courses involving all aspects of Digital Manipulation. The attendees that participate on these courses are diverse and come from very different backgrounds, some attendees wish to improve their skills, some are unemployed and wish to improve their employment prospects and others are either retired or unemployed and just wish to learn the skill as a hobby.

I have always enjoy the experience of teaching Photography. We all know that a varied range of techniques make a photo magnificent. I hope to achieve that in each course run by me. In every One to One or Group session I strongly believe that I learn as much from the attendees as they do from me.

There will be a number of courses run locally in the Yorkshire Region at different venues at different time.Find other courses run by me at**Removed By Admin**

Teaching Approach:

Each week a new area of Photography,Creative writing, Painting and Drawing will be introduced, supported by individual tuition and many practical tasks that build up students’ knowledge and confidence. All students will be encouraged to complete task in class and throughout the week in their own time. These completed tasks will be reviewed and critiqued. At the end of the course you will have a portfolio of your work.

The biggest problems that occur when teaching photography and creative writing courses is that at the beginner level some of the students do not know anything about it and other know a significant amount.I have used several methods to address this and believe that splitting the group into pairs is the best method, the least knowledgeable (Basic entry level) are then given a little extra support to help them gain knowledge more quickly and ultimately balance the group out.

Keeping each Attendee in mind the courses is modified in accordance to the Attendees needs. The one day workshops are 6hrs and have a lunch break in the middle. The course runs over a period of 8-12 weeks and is split into chapters. At the end of the course a final project is designed to assess their achieved progress in that level.
