Information About Louisa - Salford teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Louisa:
I graduated in Fashion Design from the University of Westminster last year after showing my final collection at LFW and appearing in editorials for Dazed and Confused Magazine and Hunger Magazine. I also attended CSM for Foundation Art and Design, as well as internships at Roksanda, Erdem, Christopher Kane and most recently Balmain. I specialise in textile design (print and embroidery) but I have experience advising on a range of portfolios and dissertations within art and design. My degree educated me on all aspects of fashion design including construction, research, illustration and development. During my degree I won scholarships and sponsorships so I have experience in how to apply for things such as these too.
I have close friends at the Royal College of Art, Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion and Antwerp studying Art and Fashion Design degrees as well as in the industry, all of which I have advised in terms of portfolio and project development. People also contact my online for university and industry advice.
My advice is very honest and direct, I believe that advice should be constructive and try to offer lots of options and advice to see what resonates. Back and forth discussion where you can bounce ideas off each other works really well. Every creative person works, creates and is inspired differently so I try to understand what motivates each person. I am well integrated into the fashion scene as well as knowing my fashion history which is important for rich design work.
