Personal Description:

Now retired from teaching, I find I miss the contact with creative people of all ages and would like to continue tutoring and inspiring others to achieve their goals

Teaching Experience:

For over 20 years ,as head of department, I taught art in a preparatory school gaining scholarships for my pupils in major public schools. Short term assignments teaching up to A level enabled me to gain great insight into general standards over a wide range of schools and colleges .

Teaching Approach:

I use an unusual ,but widely acclaimed and successful approach to drawing which takes the onus off pupils to "get it right" immediately and concentrating more on close attention to shape, distance and proportion. This gives them confidence and a way of approaching observation resulting in them producing interesting, personal and accurate drawing skills.
