Personal Description:
A dedicated artist since childhood:
Studied @ Thanet Schools of Art and Ravensbourne College of Art and Design. (The same College that David Bowie went to)
During the decade of the 1990s I worked in Community Arts at the then Gillingham's Community Arts Project " Spiral Arts" and had the privelege of working alongside notable artists such as Scot Norwood Witts, Philip Absolon, Cass Holmes and Sculptor Jenny Bowmer.
I then went on to work at the Historic Dockyard Chatham on the Mural Artists Project. During this time I held an intense series of small exhibitions in the Medway Towns and further afield along side undertaking a few art commissions and selling some artwork.
My last commission was for an American Client in Minerva Ohio USA which was worked on at home and then posted to the Client in the USA. My Art portfolio is quite varied and am influenced by artists such as Bob Ross ("Happy little Trees") Vincent VanGogh, Pablo Piccasso Frank Clark, and Cynthia Rosen. My portfolio can be viewed by appointment or online.
Teaching Experience:
Although not Art related, I have had 21 years Guitar Teaching experience on a one to one basis and in Schools and about 3 years off and on experience in between none related art engagements of tutoring art at Cecil Road School Gravesend and one to one tutring in priviate homes.
Teaching Approach:
Art is my Passion and Life and I have the similar philosophy attitude as Bob Ross who said in effect "We all have the ability to create art if we have the desire to do so"

In order to compliment the Mandolins tone, I use a well used accompanying procedure on accoustic guitar which makes an attractive sound combination. I think my student will agree. We are concentrating on "first position/open" chord shapes to match favourite songs which went very well. When Monica, to her satisfaction, has fully mastered all the "Open" chords I would like, with her permission, to progress further onto the second position chords and some soloing in the Country and Western style. All this would be done @ a comfortable pace.
