Information About Jack - Reading teacher - (1 review)
This is how 3 referees rated Jack:
I am a recent graduate from university who has been writing creatively since I could write. Having a great respect for reading and writing, I am passionate about sharing this art with others and encouraging creativity amongst everyone. I have been published in two creative anthologies, 'Truth is Like a Lazarus; or, A Roof Bursting with Stars' and 'Second Sight: The Margaret Atwood Learning Journals', and work on my own creative pieces in my spare time. I am excited to work with people who share my passion to learn and discover writing!
I was a peer-assisted learning leader during my time at university for creative writing, which ranged from discussing ideas and plotting, to reviewing work and giving constructive feedback. As part of both my creative writing modules, I would critique and edit other students' work and discuss creative writing theoretically and practically.
Creative writing is a particular subject where the student's own experience is imperative to moving forward. It is important to me to understand whether the student is a complete beginner or has been writing for several years, and what the student would like to achieve. Multiple methods can work for creative writing, though this can vary from writing under supervision to discussing plot structures and ideas. I hope to build a trusting and inspirational relationship with my tutees where we both feel comfortable guiding and leading our learning together.
