Hannah is an award-winning and best-selling writer who has worked in a variety of creative writing formats including novel writing, biographic writing, short story writing, screenwriting and journalism.

Her eight published novels include the bestselling Aspen Valley series and she has written and edited short films that have gone on to be produced. After achieving a first class degree at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge for her Writing and Film degree for which she won two university-wide awards, Hannah was accepted onto the elite Creative Writing MA at the University of East Anglia, arguably the best creative writing programme in the world with graduates including Kazuo Ishiguro, Ian McEwan and Anne Enright to name but a few. She graduated as one of the few to achieve a distinction.

Teaching Experience:

My experience as a tutor ranges from lecturing screenwriting at Anglia Ruskin University, where I am an associa**Contact Detail Removed**cturer, to almost ten years of tutoring creative writing, poetry and English literature at an advanced studies summer school at one of Cambridge's prestigious colleges, giving lectures to auditoriums of over 200 visiting university students to the intimacy of one-to-one tuition with younger students.

Teaching Approach:

I was not a great student as a child. Rigid and rote teaching sucked all the appreciation I might have had from learning. That is, until I returned to education in my late 20s and, over the course of two bachelor’s and master’s degrees, discovered just how rewarding it can be. Partly because of this reason (and partly because I simply love sharing knowledge!), I began a new career in teaching and for the past 9 years – with over 600 hours of teaching logged – I have made a point of injecting colour into a learning world that, for many students, has become drab and monochrome.
I believe that confidence is a big part of success, and confident students make emboldened decisions in their learning, so I will be your/your child’s biggest supporter. Every student is a unique individual who has their own way of learning so every lesson is tailored to their needs with no comparisons or judgements.
