Now offering online tutoring.
I am a professional writer, actor, and director, who started his career 8 years ago. I have been creating for as long as I can remember, and started writing and performing in short films whilst studying at school. In my teens, my performances and writings grew as I started acting in my sixth-form's theatre group and as YouTube first started gaining traction as an outlet for young creators. In my final years of school, I passed higher level exams for the International Baccalaureate in Film, English language, and English literature, scoring the UCAS equivalent to a triple A*.
As my professional career started my interests shifted towards the silver screen, whilst retaining a healthy exposure to performance art, theatre, and creative writing groups, thus giving me a solid foundation in many creative styles. At university, I found modest success within London's vibrant short film scene and have been acting in short films since, playing a wide variety of roles and characters.
I started tutoring whilst still at school, and have continued to do so ever since 2009.
By teaching students of many backgrounds, I have gained a firm grasp of how to interact with, and accommodate, pupils from all walks of life. Understanding a student's background, and their reasoning for even pursuing a creative outlet such as writing or acting, is essential in being able to best approach lessons that will enable the tuttee to progress and reach goals that they did not think they could achieve.
With the current lockdown situation I have found myself moving to online tutoring, when necessary, with ease. With my professional two-camera set-up no amount of detail is lost when teaching, and with many years of experience in the digital sphere I am comfortable offering students a thorough and engaging lesson despite the session not being face-to-face.
I am a firm believer that each student's particular personal journey within the arts is unique to them. I really enjoy curating lessons based on each student's particular interests. My aim is to foster the pupil's imagination and creativity by tailoring the lessons to their specific needs and interests, so as to watch them grow as creators and perfect the skillsets that will enable them to express themselves fully.
