Information About Ethan - Rugby teacher

Personal Description:

In 2008, I set-up a youth theatre company, Be-Inspired Productions, which I ran successfully for three years, before closing it so that I could prioritise on my studies. With this company, I wrote, composed, directed and produced a murder mystery, two variety shows, an arts festival and a full-scale musical. I write a lot of pantomime and one of them is currently in the process of publication. The same publisher has already published one of my short plays, which has been performed in various schools in the UK and Canada. I write a lot of poetry, too, and have entered various competitions, resulting in two of my poems being anthologised.

Teaching Experience:

I currently tutor English and French to GCSE level, and I am keen to extend my services to those who are budding - or simply interested - creative writers.

Teaching Approach:

I am developing the following courses:
- Get the Juices Flowing (an introduction to Creative Writing)
- Writing for Theatre
- Poetry: a Creative Outlet
- Pantomime: the Art of Tradition
- Music and Lyrics

I blend practical exploration with analysis of existing texts and implementation of theoretical concepts. Writing is an art and should, therefore, be fun: I always bear this in mind.
