Personal Description:
I'm a very keen cook and offer healthy eating and nutrition sessions as part of my Personal Training business. Whilst I have no official culinary qualifications, I have always cooked from scratch and believe in looking after yourself with nutritious food. I am a strong believer that food plays a fundamental role in the your overall health and happiness and ensure my cookery sessions account for this through varied ingredients and dishes.
I am a mother of two boys and totally understand the pressures women face managing careers, family and budgetary restraints.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught many of my Personal Training Clients the benefits of healthy cooking and eating since I launched 12 months ago. My experience has been self-taught from an early age and this has grown into a daily pleasure as I cook for family groups and host dinner parties for friends.
Teaching Approach:
At our first session, I will establish your current knowledge of cookery techniques and understanding of nutrition. I will listen to your needs and suggest how to plan our cookery lessons around these. I will keep your sessions engaging and motivating and you will play a significant role in preparing the meals. I don't think you will regret choosing me as a tutor… I have inspired many clients to make changes!

Reply from: Emma:Unfortunately this feedback was given after just one evaluation session where I needed to correct some basic pronunciation and accent rules to improve in the spoken language. No mention was made at the time that the tutee wished to cover some specific work until the end of the session.
From Katarzyna (/5): Emma is a very skilled and enthusiastic teacher. My daughter not only finds her lessons helpful but also enjoyable. The first assessment lesson was free, and after that Emma created a plan for revision and with each lesson my daughter's confidence increased.

From Bennett (/5): Emma responded very quickly to are request for assistance - which was greatly appreciated as my son needed help with an assessment the following week - he has found her to be an excellent tutor and really enjoys their weekly sessions - I have seen a real improvement in his confidence in only a few weeks ! If you are looking for a French tutor we would highly recommend her.

From Karen (/5): My daughter will be having her 8th French tuition lesson today. Emma her tutor meets the needs of her learning in every way. Initially helping with the decision of commencing with A level French, Emma assessed knowledge levels and provided clear and honest feed back. She has now tailored a program that suits my daughter's interest and learning style and things are progressing well.
Emma is really easy to be around. She has a happy disposition, is polite and professional and we're keepng her :)

From Sian (/5): Emma has been teaching my 15 yr old son in readiness for his French GCSE. My son has grown in confidence and enjoys the lessons. He finds Emma easy to get along with and I am pleased with the progress he is making. I would not hesitate to recommend Emma as a French tutor.

From Helen (/5): Emma helped my two sons with their confidence. The elder with his A level.She even got up to speed quickly to help him with his chosen oral subject of hydrogen power- quite technical as it turned out! He says it really helped!
The younger with GCSE- a very reluctant linguist now seems far less frightened of the subject. It was over the Christmas holidays and they both were reluctant to work at this time but both said they learned a great deal from their time with Emma and it was very worthwhile.
She kindly came to the house and was punctual and kept to time well. She was also very accommodating regarding times to suit them both at what would have been a busy time of year for her too.

From Anielka (/5): My daughter is gaining a confidence in the subject which she did not previously have. She finds the tutorials enjoyable and, because of this, seems to be progressing very well. I have been very happy with the arrangement.
From Lorna (/5): It is quite difficult to feedback after such a short period. However Aidan seems to be becomimg more relaxed with the tutorials, I think this is due to Emma's freindly approach. He has said that he is finding it helpful and that Emma explains things to help him understand. I have noticed that Aidan seems to be regaining his enjoyment for French and becoming more confident again.
