Personal Description:

Adaptable and easy going. My teaching covers basic to advanced drawing skills, painting, watercolours, pen & ink illustration through to more modern graphic styles.

Painter and graphic artist with an MA in Illustration/Animation. I enjoy working with all types of mediums and techniques from realistic to abstract. In the past produced a series of historical portraits of tudor monarchs for a client.

My lessons are suitable for anyone who is interested in art, illustration, design and architecture whether you're in school, university, work or an enthusiast!.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught drawing skills, Photoshop and Illustrator to design students at Kingston University plus an increasing number of home tuition customers. Experience with tutoring children, including siblings together.

Teaching Approach:

I try to tailor lessons to match the requirements of the individual with a step-by-step approach. Art is such a rewarding activity to do and part of it is just a bit of know-how!

From Harry (5/5): David has been an absolute dream of a tutor for my son - who is somebody who needs stretching but is also quite nervous about engaging in new ways… David has worked with him in a really bespoke but well structured way to add to his other formal learning, to keep him inspired and following his interest and curiosity in maths that school classrooms alone just can’t provide. Immensely grateful.
