Information About Anna - Fulham teacher

Personal Description:

Hello! How lovely to meet you. I'm Anna - I trained professionally in Musical Theatre at one of London's top conservatoire's and I graduated about five years ago (gosh, I sound old)! I've been living in London for seven years now, working in the performing industry both on stage and more recently, behind the scenes as a director and writer.

A bit about me: I'm a huge food lover, I have two beautiful furry doggies at home with my parents in Yorkshire who I absolutely adore and miss sorely when I'm in London, and I feel very passionate about making the arts an accessible, kind space for anyone who wants to explore it.

Teaching Experience:

I've been lucky enough to work at some of London's top schools including The London Oratory School, Latymer Upper School and City Junior School (attached to Gray's Inn). At these schools, I have been responsible for directing, choreographing and putting together their termly shows.

At London Oratory I have directed: Singin' In the Rain, There's A Leak, The 39 Steps, Beauty And The Beast, and Sherlock Holmes and the Baker Street Irregulars.

At City Junior School, I directed and put together the children's opera 'The Pied Piper' at Gray's Inn Hall, the prestigious Inns of Court. This involved a professional orchestra and professional tenor singer, plus an ensemble of fifty primary school aged children.

At Latymer Upper School, I ran multiple dance clubs which culminated in an end of year dance show.

I have taught private musical theatre lessons online for the past few years, helping students reach their potential for upcoming auditions for drama schools, exams, and simply to enjoy the arts!

Teaching Approach:

My approach to teaching will always be relaxed, kind, positive and nurturing. I experienced a tough three years in drama school in an environment that could have been much kinder, so I'm passionate about creating a teaching environment that allows people to thrive and shine. Mistakes are welcome, always!
