Faruk took my daughter through first year Stats (101) at Uni and my son through level 2 NCEA for Math (Calculus). For both, I booked Faruk late at short notice, close to exams when I realised they weren't ready. I found Faruk very easy to talk to and arrange times with. The feedback from my kids has been excellent. With them, Faruk is very patient and ensures they understood each problem before moving on to the next. In a short space of time he has structured them through their learning. They are much more confident heading into their exams and I am very impressed with the work they have been doing at Faruk's direction. I would thoroughly recommend Faruk.

Tien has been helping our homeschooled son get ready for end of year NCEA Level 3 Chemistry exam. Our son had not covered the material so Tien has had one term to prepare him. She is very capable and able to engage him, and has kept him on task, without being overly strict. I haven't had to nag him to do work and feel great relief that he is steadily learning. He also really likes Tien as his tutor so we are happy. We especially wanted someone who understood the exam and marking system - an NCEA teacher. A student tutor is fine if you want someone to help coach and gain understanding. We wanted to be sure our son knew the ins and outs of the exam.
