I had struggled particularly with issues related to internalizing the nature and function of the CJEU and the difference between direct/indirect effect. I found the structure of Brendan's tutoring classes a lot clearer as each case was clearly situated in a development timeline. Additionally, there was a good balance between "lecture time" and questions for the student, which allowed for the routine checking over of knowledge procured in the previous class - I think this was essential especially for EU law, where the exams seemed to me to be very heavy on rules and definitions. Lastly, I found Brendan to be patient with errors in basic understanding and never felt like I was being penalized for asking something.

Brendan currently tutors me for EU Law. He is an excellent tutor, which is reflected in his ability to simplify legal concepts, which has been challenging for me, even after lectures and **Web Address Removed** law is a very dense subject with little time before exams to get to grips with the content, however, Brendan has placed me in a position where I feel comfortable to undertake my exams and succeed.
