Information About Christine
This is how 2 referees rated Christine:
The pandemic has thrown a wrench into schooling. You don't know what you've missed and there's no real way to find out; unless you work with me.
Primary Students: We'll work together to get caught up on what you've missed.
University Students: I'll get you comfortable writing academic papers, managing your time, and how to research, so you're ready for university.
Don't go to university until you understand what is expected of you. They won't teach you because you should already know how to study, how to juggle multiple deadlines, and how to research, write, and cite papers.
Everyone: If you are looking for help with reading, vocabulary, sentence structure, comprehension, pronunciation, grammar, spelling or anything to do with English, look no further!
I have an advanced degree in English and now that I have retired from teaching, I am pleased to be able to offer my services to all ages and grades on a personalized and individual basis.
I have a large vocabulary and write excellent letters, essays, papers and exams and I can help your writing shine.
I am flexible, knowledgeable, patient and kind.
Due to Covid-19 I am only offering online tutoring at the moment. I work on Skype, Zoom, and Google video calls. I find them surprisingly effective when in-person tutoring is impossible.
As soon as it's safe to do so, I'll resume in-person tutoring.
I tutored overseas for 3 years and have been tutoring in Canada for 14 years now.
I have quite a few testimonials to my name and have guided many students to successful completion of their studies, understanding of the vagaries of the English language and more.
Pronunciation, grammar, and writing are passions of mine. Let me help you!
I have several repeat tutoring clients and many referrals.
I also worked in an after-school program called Mad Science, where I taught science in a fun way.
My approach to tutoring is to tailor the lessons to the student.
One to one tutoring can be very beneficial to someone struggling to understand something.
I believe tutoring supplements schooling and can help a student get ahead by focusing on areas of understanding.
