Personal Description:

Hi there! I am an incoming student in the Honours Mathematics program at the University of Waterloo with an eager curiosity in exploring different academic subjects. Upon graduating from high school, I received an overall average of 98%, and was the recipient of numerous Commencement Awards such as the Governor General's Medal and the Faculty Award. I am patient and very easy to get along with. The process of supporting another student in their academic journey is one I find to be very rewarding and feel grateful to be able to partake in.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 1 year of experience providing regular private tutoring service for various high school students. I helped particularly in Grade 12 Mathematics (university preparation), some Physics, and Grade 9 Mathematics as well.
Aside from tutoring high school students, I have had 5 years of employment and volunteering experience engaging with elementary school-aged children, where I had experience delivering fun teaching sessions to them in camp settings.

Tutoring Approach:

For homework help, I would typically go over specific examples and provide explanations for the points of confusion, and have the student practice similar problems until they reach understanding for each problem-solving step and feel comfortable attempting it on their own.
Prior to tests and examination, I would assist the student in reviewing and organizing their learned materials by creating compact study notes with key information, and base practice on the study note created.
