Hello! My name is Winston. I am a scientific professional with a deep interest in biology and chemistry and in teaching those subjects! I also personally went through the IB program, and hence I understand the intricacies and unique demands from the IB-level science courses.

Education: BSc (with honours) - McGill, MSc - UToronto
Experience: > 5 years of teaching, including prep course instructor, private tutor, teaching assistant
Some other random facts about myself:
- member of professional scientific associations
- avid lover of food and travelling
- SAT/ACT > 95 percentile (in those long ago days the SAT was out of 2400)

Tutoring Approach:

I like use an interactive approach. Not only will we discuss the material or questions from school, my students will have lots of opportunities to comment and ask questions! I also like to bring in real world examples - the fun facts, because we know that new things are often difficult to understand if we don't truly conceptualize it.

I am deeply passionate about chemistry and molecular biology, but in the past I too had struggled in these courses. I understand the frustrations that our students face in trying to understand the material. My job is to help them overcome that and help them succeed!
