Personal Description:

I'm currently a technical sales and business development professional with in R&D background in polymer engineering. I have a M.A.Sc (Chem Eng.) from McMaster University specializing in high performance engineered plastic composites, bioplastics and recycling. Throughout my university and professional career, I have always taught students on the side and was even a full time tutor with over 24 students at one point. It's a passion for me and I genuinely enjoy helping students to realize their potential.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 7 years experience teaching math and sciences from high school to first year university level and have a great understanding the troubles current students are having and what they might be lacking from their classes. Before tutoring I've been a teaching assistant for 2 years and even before that I've taught younger students in high school and toddlers how to ski as an assistant ski instructor.

Tutoring Approach:

Over the years I've developed the skills and strategies to overcome any challenge and I want to pass that on to the next generation to help them overcome any challenges that they might face. I have experience teaching students with various learning styles and capabilities advanced concepts by employing problem based learning and guiding them through critical thinking exercises. Once a student masters this skill, along with a solid knowledge foundation, there is no problem they can't solve methodically.
