Personal Description:

I recently graduated from Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering from McMaster University. In my spare time, I would like to provide some math or ESL help to younger students struggling in the subjects! I am friendly, calm and open minded. Feel free to contact me if you think I would be a good choice for you or your child :)

Tutoring Experience:

I have had experience tutoring high school math from grade 9/10 to Advanced Functions and so on. I can also provide my tutoring in Mandarin Chinese if the student learns better in this language. That being said, I am also available to help new Chinese immigrant students with their English and other subjects at school.

Tutoring Approach:

I treat all my students equally and with respect. I tend to encourage students and have great patience during their learning.
If student is in a school course: Inquiry-based to see where the student does not understand from school teaching, as well as solving practice problems together to facilitate understanding. I will review their tests and analyze their area of weakness so they could improve on questions that require further grasp.

If student is not in a school course: providing a structured outline and teaching the subject from scratch as well as solving practice problems.
