Personal Description:

I am working as a Software Development Analyst in the healthcare industry. I, being a working mother of 2 children understand the challenge of teaching kids while multitasking many other things together. My compassion towards children and passion for teaching is the motive for me to tutor in my free time. The excitement of seeing a child progress and making a positive difference and contributing to the child’s development is my purpose of tutoring.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored students from Grade 1-Grade 4 for 5 years in Dubai. I have taught Math, Science, Social Studies and English.

Tutoring Approach:

Since I'm dealing with little children, I engage them by explaining concepts as narratives and through pictures. I make the sessions interactive by encouraging exchange of ideas and have oral quiz on the related topics. I understand every child's strength and weakness and customize my approach towards them. I make them feel comfortable by developing a good rapport by creating a friendly learning environment.I follow competitive books and subject materials to provide in-depth understanding. My class is like a big social interactive group where children are made to collaborate as a team and also develop a sense of healthy competition. They are allowed to present in front of the group and take up initiative which not only boosts confidence but will also give them a sense of ease and thorough understanding. I teach 4 days a week from Monday - Thursday and send home some work for the weekend. I also test them regularly.
