Personal Description:

I'm a CEGEP student at Marianopolis College who got excellent grades in elementary and high school. All the information that I learnt in high school is still fresh in my mind and I think that will help me teach it better to others.

Tutoring Experience:

I don't have any official tutoring experience, but, for almost 11 years, I have been helping my friends with their homework and studying and ensuring that they understood everything that we were learning.
I believe I was really able to help them succeed in high school and elementary school and I hope I can help others do the same.

Tutoring Approach:

For Math and Science:
I think the best way to teach someone something in Math and Science is by helping them understand the concept behind it. Once someone understands where a concept comes from, they'll understand it much more easily and also be able to put it into practice.

Once the concept is understood, the student must do a lot of practice problems in order to practice applying the concept and finishing problems as quickly as possible, so that they can really implant the concept in their mind and be able to use it quickly and efficiently.

For English and French:
To learn English and French, the most important thing that a student must do is go over their essays with someone who can explain their errors to them, so that they can understand them and avoid making the same mistakes again. Once this is done multiple times, the student will have fixed almost all of his mistakes and will be able to write comprehensive essays with minimal errors.

I believe I am a very good person to go over their essays with, because I am able to explain someone's errors to them very easily and clearly.

Furthermore, students must do many practice problems in order to understand grammatical and syntaxical concepts and be able to apply them instinctively in their essays.
