Personal Description:

I am currently in Grade 11 and enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Programme at Bayview Secondary School. I love playing sports, mainly swimming, and ski, and I love hanging out with my friends. I truly believe that in order to learn something well you need to really have an interest in that topic. In previous years, I had many different tutors, therefore, I know many of the different kind of approaches to assist students, and what is the best approach to teaching a student. As well, as a student in such a rigorous programme, honestly speaking sometimes in class I don't focus and I can't seem to find the motivation to work hard, therefore, I know how important it for each and every to the student to find their own interests, and not only in the subjects they learn about within the community and motivation to do what they love. Not only, that as a student, most of the time we are a pact with an extensive amount of knowledge, and at times the materials can be very confusing, overwhelming and stressful, from this personal experience, I know how important it is to have a good and suitable tutor there for you when you need help.

Tutoring Experience:

- I am currently an instructor for the town of Richmond Hill
- I have tutored my little sister for math, French, and piano
- I have helped explain some concepts to my friends at school

Tutoring Approach:

- Being patient
- Getting to know the student, and know how they learned best, and teach them/help them using that way
- Always encouraging the student even at times where they don't get the right answer
- Motivating the student when they need it
- Asking the student about school topics that they don't understand
- Making sure to cover everything the student doesn't know, and asking them if they understand
- Giving them practice questions, getting them to do practice questions by themselves to ensure that students have actually understood and learned the materials
