Personal Description:

I am currently a first-year Undergraduate student at University of Alberta, where I pursue my study in Computing Science. For your information, Computing Science is a math-based study of algorithms and logical reasoning.

During my high school years, I have earned excellent grades for every math courses I took. I also completed the AP Calculus AB exam in 2019 and achieved a score of 5 out of 5. I also achieved a 4 for my AP Statistics exam and I'm open to help with statistics problems as well. I'm passionate about math, and I'd like to spread my passion and knowledge to younger high school students.

Alongside with math, I believe physics plays a role just as important. I achieved a grade of 95% for all three physics courses I took in high school and I am confident about my understanding of high school physics concepts.

Please be assured that I have learned English since I was in grade 2, which makes more than 11 years. My accent is very similar to the British accent and is very easy to comprehend.

Tutoring Experience:

Last year, I spent 3 months tutoring a grade 10 high schooler with his math 10C course. I successfully filled his gap in solving for more than one variables using a system of equations and reinforced his understanding of the relationship between equations and their graphical meaning. Overall, his mark went from fluctuating below 70 to a solid above 80.

Tutoring Approach:

Personally, I like experiments. I will let my student experiment with different ways to solve a math/physics problem then decides which one is the correct solution. By doing this, I believe curiosity becomes the motivation and the student would gain a deep understanding of why a solution is right or wrong.
