Personal Description:

I love learning and enjoy sharing what I know. As a math tutor, I can teach algebra starting at the elementary school level. I also help students prepare for the SSAT, PSAT, and SAT exams. Preparation is the key to academic success, and this is where I help students in getting the most out of their hard work.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government and a master's in Public Administration. I also have a bit of tutoring experience and recall the things about school I didn't think were fun. But I believe there are many rewards if you work hard and I'll help you get there too!

Tutoring Approach:

I believe a positive attitude and the right teacher can help a motivated student learn any subject. Knowing what works and what doesn't is important. A combination of one-on-one help and letting students work through concepts themselves aids the learning process. I'll adjust my instructional pace if necessary, help a student see the applications of the material, or pick from a range of strategies to help engage a student struggling in a concept.
