Personal Description:

I am enthusiastic about teaching and helping others better understand concepts that they struggle with. I had always enjoyed helping others and supporting people to achieve the goals they set. These goals were primarily academic. Seeing someone overcome a challenge they struggled with often puts a smile on my face, and simply seeing success makes me content.

Tutoring Experience:

I have always taught my friends concepts we learned at school when they had trouble understanding, and through that experience, I realized I enjoy learning. Through experience, I began getting positive feedback and learned what I know now. This began in grade 8 when I began taking school more seriously and started paying attention to my grades. I would study to understand a concept very well, and for this reason, my friends began relying on me more for school. As I progressed through grades, I began helping more people through online study sessions and often led the teaching. I experienced students who struggled a lot with certain concepts, and through time and experience, learned how to approach and teach students.

Tutoring Approach:

I plan to approach tutoring with an open mind and a listening ear. It is important to understand my students' issues on a deep level, so I can provide a better solution. It is important to be empathetic when a student expresses their academic issues, as it is a challenging and exposing thing to do, so being empathetic and understanding is key.
