Hi to everybody! :)

My name is Stef, I am a lyrical singer from Barcelona who currently lives in Montréal (and I love it!).

I am going to teach you how to sing in a healthy way. I work a lot of genres (opera, zarzuela, chanson, lied, musical pop… ) and I can teach you to accompany yourself on the piano. Also I give piano and musical theory lessons. Moreover, I train corageous people to pass successfully their auditions/exams. My classes are for people of all ages who want to learn and have a great experience!

Tutoring Experience:

My experience is divided in two lines: education and performance.

Regarding my education experience, through 12 years I have taught singing, musical theory and piano in schools (for children and teenagers), conservatorys (students from 4 to 65 years old) and in priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons (mostly adults). Both experiences were enriching and gave me powerful resources to help and understand people's needs.

About performance experience, since I was 17 years old I have participated in quite zarzuelas, operas, oratorios and musicals around Spain, mostly in Barcelona and Granada.

Recently I have worked in the Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona (one of the biggest and most prestigious theaters in Europe) and the experience was amazing.

Tutoring Approach:

My methodology is unique for each person so it is shaped on the student needs. Generally it is based on the body awareness, breathing, vocal technique, declamation and interpretation. To achieve that, it is important to establish a trust-based relationship between us and to make you feel to be in a comfortable and free environment. I find this point essential to make music. You have to feel that you almost make no efforts to sing.

Apart from this, I can help you in these fields:
- Science. I have a Bachelors Degree in Biotechnology and one Masters Degree in cytogenetics and biology of reproduction (I love science).
- Languages. I can teach you spanish and catalan (native languages).
