Personal Description:

My name is Shreeji , i am 19 and am currently studying in Wilfrid Laurier University, as a Biology Undergrad. Over the years i have gained quite a bit experience in assistance and teaching, i am hoping to continue to gain more experience and also develop in the process of doing so. With the past work/volunteer experience i have gained several skills which will further help in a workplace/work environment that First Tutor has to offer; responsible, have great work ethic, adaptive to any situation, cooperative and great communicative skills.

• i volunteered as a assistant for my math high school teacher, to help students out who needed extra help in math from grades 9 to 11. As an assistant i learned developed many qualities such as; leadership, responsibility and great communication skills.

• ETAG is a peel learning assistance center for the elderly. My Job as a volunteer was to assist the elderly in technology question they have while using a device or teaching them how to use a smart phone or certain program on the computer (Word, Excel, Publisher, Browser, Paint) from scratch. The most important thing it taught me was PATIENCE.

Tutoring Approach:

As a tutor my main goal would be to identify the best method that fits the person i am teaching; whether they are more hands on, textbook oriented, or through kin-aesthetics and so on. This would make my teaching easier and also develop an interest in the person who is learn to advance further in learning and understand the concepts in much ease.
