Personal Description:

I am a long-time, dedicated social studies teacher, and I bring my passion for teaching, and my dedication to seeing my students do well, to my work as a geography tutor. I can tutor students taking high school and college geography courses, whether that means help with coursework, study skills, or exam prep.

Tutoring Experience:

I discovered my passion for teaching almost twenty years ago, and worked as a substitute, then full time teacher for several years. My teaching areas include middle school special education and social studies. I have a Bachelors in Social Studies Education and a Masters of Arts in Special Education.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that establishing relationships between student and tutor is key. I pride myself on my capacity for compassion and patience. Getting to know my students means that I can get a real sense of how they learn, and then I can design our sessions to better meet their needs.
