Personal Description:

I'm an enthusiastic biology tutor who loves to witness the growth of each student I work with. Because sciences like biology are heavy on details, I like to use active learning strategies to help students retain and truly understand how information is connected. Along with my previous tutoring experience, my education allows me to cover a wide range of biology topics.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in General Biology and went on to earn my Ph.D. and M.D. I enjoy teaching science to all ages, from elementary schoolers learning the basics of photosynthesis to college students delving deeper into botany and other advanced topics.

Tutoring Approach:

I tap into each individual student's learning style and adjust my teaching methods to match, giving students real-world examples that they can relate to. I also give each of my students active learning skills that they can use during independent study so they can continue to use what we learn together.
