Personal Description:

I actually like doing math! And I really enjoy helping others to "see" it and understand it so that they feel comfortable and confident as they progress through their courses.

Tutoring Experience:

Several years working as a Kumon instructor with emphasis on the higher levels. Over 16 years experience tutoring secondary (and some college and university) students with great success.

Tutoring Approach:

I always check to see that the student is comfortable and strong in all background basics. I endeavour to figure out how the student best understands different topics in math, what their individual strong points are and how to use them, as well as finding the best explanations suited to them and how they perceive numbers and math logic. I also work with individualized notes to help them study and prepare for tests.
