Personal Description:

I am an outgoing professional currently working in the banking industry, with over 5 years financial services experience overall. My role is as an investment planning coach (more on this in the next section), which speaks to my ability to articulate ideas in a clear manner to my audience. I have always been trusted to deal respectfully and professionally with my clients, which began as a customer service representative in 2014. I then transitioned to a Financial Services Manager role, where I was dealing with more complicated client affairs like mortgages and investment planning. I dealt with clients from all walks of life, but did so at a very high level that my clients truly appreciated. I am motivated by seeing better in others, which is what I have looked to do throughout my life and my career.

My educational background is a business degree from the Schulich School of Business, widely considered a top Canadian business school. This was by far the most challenging academic period of my life time. It shows you that I truly care about academics, and understand its importance in getting accepted to the school of your choice, and thereafter starting a great career.

Outside of work and education, I absolutely love sports. I have played team sports like soccer and basketball throughout my life. I am the ultimate team player. I was awarded the top student-athlete of my senior year, which was an incredibly proud moment for me because although I have always loved sports, it was important to focus on my academic priorities every step of the way.

Tutoring Experience:

Since 2015, I have tutored students for both English and Math ranging from grades 5-12. I have tutored students that really struggled, and those that had a good grasp of the material, but still wanted to see improvement. I am motivated to help bring all students along.

Since 2017, I have been working for a big Canadian bank helping financial representatives invest money for their clients. I support the representatives in person, over the phone and digitally. My audience has a diverse set of cultural and educational backgrounds, so I have learned to adapt my teaching and coaching accordingly. I explain complicated financial planning and investing concepts in a very simple manner, that both my representatives and their clients can understand. You can expect the same level of care when tutoring you.

Tutoring Approach:

Earning income from tutoring and seeing improvement in my students are of the highest priority, and I truly mean that. I take no satisfaction in earning income when you are not seeing the progress in your level of understanding, and grades, in the way that you should. As long as you are committed to doing homework and giving it an honest effort, I can assure you that you will see improvement.

I am also incredibly patient. I understand that every student has a different learning style, and I am always looking to adapt to what works best for you. You will never have to hesitate to ask me a question, no matter how "stupid" it might seem. I was of course a student just like you, so I can relate to many of the challenges that you're facing.

You will never be rushed. You will never feel like you cannot achieve good performance. Working with me will motivate you to do better, and achieve the grades that you should be getting.

As an added bonus, I make myself available to my students at all times of the day. If it's the night before the exam and you need help with a question, you can simply reach out via text/Whatsapp/email and I will do my best to respond in a timely manner. This is something that many other tutors will not make available to you.
