Personal Description:

Hi my name is Seerat, I am in the Social Service Worker program! I love working with a vast variety of people including youth, newcomers, women and girls. Some of my passions and hobbies include cooking, teaching, baking and traveling. My dream job is to be a Social Service Worker, to which I am working towards everyday, a slogan that I like to follow is "to live everyday at a time, enjoy the present, don't dread over the past nor worry about the future, cause living in the present is where you can be yourself and find happiness in the little things". I am a huge believer in self-love and believe that everyone has something in them that makes them special, I think that we should just accept everyone for who they are and let them follow their dreams so that they are passionate about what they are doing and will work with passion all their lives.

Tutoring Experience:

I personally do not have any professional experience tutoring other than, volunteering with a grade 1-4 class as a placement for one of my courses. Other than that, I have tutored my siblings as they are younger than me. However, I love working with children and youth and I think that I would make a wonderful tutor!

Tutoring Approach:

I personally believe that each student has a different approach to learning as well as a different learning style therefore, I think that it is important as a tutor to carter your teaching style to the students learning style; some students learn better verbally while others learn better visually, a tutor should learn what the students learning style is and plan lessons in a way that will help that student learn better! Being a student is not an easy thing, but it is an important step towards creating a life for yourself therefore, I want to be there to help whoever might it help!
