Personal Description:

I believe students should receive the academic support they need to thrive while also being given the tools necessary to become proactive learners. As a music tutor, I want to foster a spirit of curiosity and independence in my students along with the determination to tackle any problem they encounter.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my undergraduate degree in neuroscience and music and then went on to receive a graduate degree in music cognition. During my graduate career, I worked at an electroencephalography lab. For the past three years, I've worked in public schools, where I have honed my personal teaching style while working with a diverse student population. I earned my teaching certification as well.

Tutoring Approach:

Each student has their own unique learning style and I enjoy helping them discover what it is and then leveraging it to help them study more effectively with me and eventually on their own as an independent learner.
