Personal Description:

I'm a biology tutor because I want to help students succeed, but what does success look like? I believe that it comes down to attitude and confidence more than raw knowledge and approach tutoring accordingly. My first job is always to discover how a student learns best: visually, verbally, kinesthetically, or some combination between them. Once I know that, I make sure to teach that way so that students can make the most of every meeting.

Tutoring Experience:

I attended a private high school that helped me develop a variety of study strategies I'm excited to share with others. I graduated with an undergrad degree in 2013.

Tutoring Approach:

There are a lot of tutors who want to lecture to students, but I believe that it's far more important to listen to them. Once the lines of communication are open, you can better understand your pupil's specific needs to adjust and customize their sessions appropriately.
