Personal Description:

I believe that it is a privilege to have the opportunity to learn some new things every day. I enjoy sharing my expertise with students as a Portuguese tutor. I have a diverse academic and professional background that allows me to bring a depth of knowledge about the socio-political and cultural aspects of the language to my students.

Tutoring Experience:

I attended elementary school overseas and, through the course of my long academic career, I was able to complete my medical school training and residency in gynecology and obstetrics. I've passed medical certifications in several countries.

Tutoring Approach:

When I first begin working with a student, I like to find out about their academic experience and their goals before performing a diagnostic test to determine where we should begin. Then, I use that information to drive our work together. I find that this is an effective strategy to help students learn better and faster.
