Personal Description:
I believe that the harder a student has to work in a subject the greater their reward will be, inspiring me to become a math tutor. I have taken a variety of math classes during my lifetime, including pre-calculus, statistics, Calculus 1-3, and a physics course that incorporated so much math I consider it a math class. I aspire to provide every student I work with the tools they need to succeed.
Tutoring Experience:
I recently graduated while working two jobs in addition to a full-time academic schedule, so I understand how hard-pressed some students are for time and structure meetings appropriately. I'm always up for a challenge and I hope to inspire my students to approach school in the same way.
Tutoring Approach:
Teaching is one of the best ways for students to deepen their understanding of the material, so I frequently encourage students to explain concepts back to me to reinforce their understanding.
