Personal Description:

I'm an experienced, knowledgeable teacher/tutor living in Oakville. I have two elementary school children of my own who are both in the Halton District School Board's gifted program. My educational background is in computing and mathematics including a Master of Software Engineering degree from McMaster University, Hamilton in 2009.

Tutoring Experience:

I'm a part-time university professor and a software developer by profession. I also have over 10 years of experience tutoring elementary school children.

Tutoring Approach:

Each child that I meet for tutoring is unique and wonderful in their own way, and therefore, I take an interactive, individualized approach to teaching. Depending on the age of the children I use visuals, images and story-telling to make Math fun and less intimidating. The key to becoming great at Math is in developing confidence to attack a problem and my goal is to enable my students to gain confidence in their ability.
