Personal Description:

I am a graduate student at the Department of Physics, Simon Fraser University. I focus on mastery of concepts through simple analogies, illustrations and examples. I have good communication skills in English, Bengali and Hindi.

Tutoring Experience:

As a teaching assistant at SFU, I have helped first-year undergraduate students with lab sessions, problem-solving and understanding concepts in both batches and one to one sessions. Prior to that, I enjoyed the same experience in my home country. Apart from undergrads I also taught underprivileged high school students at a non-profit establishment.

Tutoring Approach:

I prefer to get an overview of a student's understanding in the beginning. It helps me to prioritize the required areas without boring the student. I explain the basics using examples the student can relate to and always encourage them to ask questions. I also conduct timed problem-solving sessions to ensure mastery and to check weak areas.

I strive to make sure that the teaching-learning process is an enjoyable experience.
