Personal Description:

My name is Peter and I am a young professional working in Finance. I attended the Schulich School of Business and I am well versed in Math, English, and Business. I had an average of a 94% in my grade twelve year, and I had vast extracurriculars, so I am well aware of what a student needs to succeed. I am able to describe one certain concept through various different methods, and thus, my teaching style can be adjusted to best suit my students.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring people for over 5 years now, and I am very proud to say all of my students have gone on to achieve what they set out to. I take on only a few students at a time since I want to dedicate as much of my time as needed to these students. I am also a firm believer in sticking with the same students throughout the years to help teach them the building blocks that they will need to succeed in the future. Most of my students are those that I started with in grade 9 math and then watched them receive university acceptance letters.

Not only do I like to teach academics to my students, but I also like to help them through the university or college process. As someone who is well aware of what it takes to be accepted to a top university in Canada, I can confidently say that it is not just about grades. I try my best to guide my students on their path and give them advice beyond just math formulas or grammatical errors.

Tutoring Approach:

I take a very straightforward approach to teaching students. I inform them of what they need to study to do well in school. When exams or tests are fast approaching I focus a lot of my time making sure students properly grasp the understanding of all the concepts studied. If a student needs further explanation on certain concepts that is not a problem, especially as I normally bring my own past notes to hopefully shed a different light on the subject.
