Personal Description:

COVID -19 Update: Currently, due to the ongoing situation , my delivery platform is 100% Online. All my existing students have seamlessly shifted to the online platform and is currently engaged in uninterrupted learning.
It is likely that the schools will not be able finish the syllabus and the students will progress to the higher grade without the complete grasp of the fundamentals. If you will wish to explore my service offerings, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.

I have a PhD in neurosciences have more than 10 years experience in academia having a background in Chemistry and Biology. I have attained my advanced degrees in India and USA and have worked both in USA and Canada. This has given me a holistic perspective towards higher education. I understand the importance of having a strong base/fundamentals and then building up on it.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience teaching university undergrad students for 6 years (grad/undergrad level courses). I have tutored ontario high school students for the last five years. Other than that all throughout my academic career spanning 20+ years, I have mentored numerous graduate/undergrad students.

grade 11-12 courses, SBI3U, SBI3C, SBI4U, SCH3U, SCH4U, SCH4C, SNC4M, SNC4E

From Julia (5/5): (Secondary Chemistry) My tutoring with Paromita helped me considerably, as I had a tenuous understanding at best of parts of IB biology. Prior to tutoring, I had difficulty understanding most of human physio but neurons and synapses especially. Paromita helped clear up the misunderstanding I had as well as explain the concepts in terms deliberately made as simple as possible. She also covered concepts in chemistry quite quickly which took some time in class, such as introduction to stoichiometry and gas laws such as Avogadro's law. Overall, tutoring with Paromita greatly increased my understanding of both subjects.

From Aslesha (1/5): (Secondary Chemistry) Hi Paromita, I am writing this as I am unable to obtain another tutor through first tutor's website unless I provide a feedback on why I cannot proceed with our tutoring arrangement.

I had bought your details a week ago for a 1:1 tutoring and agreed upon dates and times. Further correspondence with you indicated that you did not have the availability for those dates on a long term basis as you would give preference to a group class. I would have appreciated if this strong preference and consequences as such, was shared by you prior to me buying your details and not after.

I wish you good luck in your ventures but I would like to proceed with another tutor that fits the needs of my child at this time.

His motivation, knowledge and interest on these subjects has grown with Paromota's guidance and mentoring since last 1 year. We are looking forward to continue with her for many more years to come and no second thoughts about it. Paromita is extremely accomplished in academics and with her knowledge base in these subjects, she has always kept it simple and relevant for Sheil for continuous improvement.

Small instance of her going beyond the normal duties. While she was away on her trip to Asia during Sheil's grade 9 exam; she skyped/emailed regularly with him for all clarifications. This is after her setting him ready for exam before she left. We are lucky to have her as Sheil's teacher.The best recommended person if one wants their child to grow in these subjects on long term basis.
