Personal Description:

Hi my name is Nimei **Removed By Admin**. I'm originally from China and have been in Canada for seven years.
Graduated from University of Alberta (Bachelor of Arts in psychology) in 2017, graduated from Medicine Hat College (Licensed Practical Nurse) in 2019.
So far I'm working at a nursing home in Medicine Hat and want to be a part time tutor too!
I'm very patient and love to work with people of all ages.
Have certificate of Community Helpers Training, CPR and First Aid.

Tutoring Experience:

Mental Health building/ Highwood School Dec. 2016 – May. 2017
Young Adults and Cross Level Services, Addictions and Mental Health, Edmonton Zone
·Assisting client who suffers with anxiety and comprehension issues with studying/working through math 20-1 and 10-1 problems every Tuesday afternoon (six months commitment).
·Understood the principles of getting along with students with mental disorder.

School Literacy Intern Nov. 2016 – May. 2017
Frontier College, Edmonton
·Providing one on one reading support for four primary students who have reading disabilities at Rundle School every Monday afternoon.
·Teaching the pronunciation of words they do not know and discussing the thesis of the book they read.
·Treating students in a patient and respectful manner, encouraging them to be interested in reading gradually.

Tutoring Approach:

Based on the personality of student, I will set up a individualized study plan and use the following but not limited to, PPT, video, textbook, additional reading article and quiz.
I'm also able to support student’s mental health and well-being and to help people at risk of(stress, depression or suicide).
