Personal Description:
I was born and raised in Saskatchewan and attended French Immersion from preschool to grade 12. I earned my Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Regina in 2004 and really love math and French! I also have my Post-Graduate Diploma in Inclusive Education from Athabasca University and have a lot of experience with teaching gifted students and other students with exceptionalities.
Tutoring Experience:
I started tutoring when I was in grade 11. I loved it, and that is why I decided to become a teacher! I have taught in the physical classroom, at Sylvan Learning Centre, in Ecuador (English as a Second Language), at an online school, and at a school for First Nations adults. I have been the head of the math department of a Saskatchewan high school.
Tutoring Approach:
Focusing on the student's needs, I like to incorporate an assessment of the student's skills and fill in their skill gaps. Tutoring should be interactive and engaging. I am extremely patient and caring. My students are always successful; I guarantee it!
