Personal Description:

Hello! My name is Nicholas and I am a very fun and passionate educator. I love books, movies, video games and traveling abroad. I also enjoy hiking and finding trails to explore. I've lived in most of the provinces and also spent time as a professor in a Chinese aerospace university before living in Seoul, South Korea as an English teacher for three years. Now I work as a senior tech advisor when I'm not tutoring.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a certified Ontario secondary school teacher with a passion for English, Math and Science. I am also a certified TEFL instructor with experience teaching English to children in South Korea and adults / university students in China. I have been a private tutor for four years and an online tutor for one year.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in matching the student's pace, but never allowing them to give up or "take a break" from a difficult concept. I often say to my students: "Math is easy. Learning math is hard." A good tutor is one who can keep a student interested and wanting to learn more, by encouraging them when they do well, while also never letting them become frustrated when they falter. Learning can be fun, rewarding, and if students never made mistakes, there wouldn't be a need for educators.
