Personal Description:

I currently work at a university but miss the excitement I got from teaching K-12 students. I find that being an English tutor is a great way for me to stay connected to that world. Recently, I have been helping 4th grade students with reading and developing their study habits and skills. I can tutor children as well as teenagers and believe that crafting an interactive learning plan and keeping students motivated is imperative to keeping them engaged.

Tutoring Experience:

I have had a long teaching career that has spanned over 29 years. Having taught at various levels in several K-12 subjects, I can draw from my experience when tutoring my students. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Education and a PhD in Cultural Foundations of Education.

Tutoring Approach:

To get my students to really immerse themselves in the material, I encourage them to make connections between their studies and their real-world experiences.
